Description

Bromocresol Purple Solution, also known as 5,5’-Dibromo-o-cresolsulfonphthalein has the chemical formula C21H16Br2O5S. It appears as a dark red liquid, soluble in Alcohol and dilute Alkalis, and highly reactive to strong oxidizing agents. It is prepared by treating O-Cresol Red with Bromine in Glacial Acetic Acid. Lab Alley’s Bromocresol Purple Solution is generally used as a pH indicator and to measure serum albumin concentrations. It plays a role as an acid-base indicator, a dye, and a two-color indicator. This pH indicator changes the color of the solution from yellow (at Ph 5.2) to violet (at pH 6.8). Lab Alley is selling its premium quality Bromocresol Purple Solution online at laballey.com in the United States of America (USA) and is highly recommended for use as laboratory testing.
