What Is 99% Isopropyl Alcohol Used For?
99% isopropyl alcohol is commonly used as a solvent or a cleaning agent for products that are sensitive to water. It has a low flash point, so it evaporates quickly. They want to be able to quickly clean a spill as soon as possible and the 99% IPA acts perfectly for this use. It has a low shelf life because of rapid evaporation when exposed to air but its alcohol content has little dilution and a great consistency.
