Ammonium Iron(III) Sulfate (FAS) or Iron Alum is a double salt of the Alums class of chemicals having the generic formula AB(SO4)2·12H2O. FeNH4(SO4)2·12H2O. It has the appearance of violet-tinged octahedral crystals at ambient conditions.
