Description

Ferrous Chloride, also known as Iron Dichloride Tetrahydrate and Iron(II) Chloride Tetrahydrate, usually appears as tetrahydrate form of Iron(II) Chloride having the chemical formula FeCl2-4H2O or Cl2FeH8O4. It is odorless and appears as light green hygroscopic crystals, or powder at room temperature. It is soluble in water and alcohol at ambient conditions. It can undergo thermal decomposition to emit corrosive and/or toxic fumes of Hydrogen chloride gas and Metal oxides.
