Anbout Hydrochloric Acid 1.0% N

Hydrochloric Acid, also known as Muriatic acid, Chlorohydric acid, and Acide Chlorhydrique, has the chemical formula HCl. It is formed by dissolving Hydrogen Chloride gas in Water and appears as a colorless to yellowish watery liquid with a sharp, irritating odor. It is soluble in Water and Ethanol at ambient conditions. Lab Alley’s Hydrochloric Acid, 1N Solution, Lab Grade contains ~3.65% by weight of pure Hydrogen Chloride gas dissolved in ~96.35% by weight of purified Water. Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents are the two terms often used to describe Lab Grade chemicals. Lab Grade chemicals do not meet any accepted quality or purity requirements such as the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade, despite their acceptable purity. In the United States of America (USA), Lab Alley is selling its high-quality Hydrochloric Acid, 1N Solution, Lab Grade online at laballey.com. Due to its high purity Hydrochloric Acid, 1N Solution, Lab Grade is highly recommended for labs and commercial applications.

Questions & Answers

  • I own a detailing company in Michigan. I’ve been using a toilet cleaner with hydrochloric acid about 11.4%. I was hoping to get your opinion on whether the hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid would be a better solution to remove calcified algae from the aluminum on pontoon boat? Ive been looking to mainly get this product in bulk however just wanted to know which one is better than the other for this application. Or if there’s another chemical out there that would do better.

If it is a calciefied algae, Hydrochloric Acid should work because HCl reacts with Calcium.
