Description

Potassium Acid Phthalate, also known as Potassium Hydrogen Phthalate, Potassium Biphthalate, Monopotassium Phthalate, and Phthalic Acid Monopotassium Salt, has the chemical formula C8H5KO4. It appears as colorless or white crystals or crystalline powder and is slightly soluble in Water at ambient conditions. When heated to decomposition, it emits oxides of carbon such as Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2).
