About Liquefied Phenol 90% USP Grade
Phenol, also known as Carbolic Acid, Hydroxybenzene, Phenylic Acid, has the chemical formula C6H6O. Liquefied Phenol, 90% Solution, USP Grade appears as a hygroscopic and light-sensitive colorless (when pure) liquid with a sweet odor. It is slightly soluble in Water at ambient conditions. Lab Alley’s Liquefied Phenol, 90% Solution, USP Grade contains Phenol (89-90 wt. %), Water (11 wt. %), and Oxalic acid Dihydrate (0.01 wt. %). A USP Grade chemical is the one that conforms to the criteria of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). A substance that has received the USP Grade certification can be used in food, drug, or medical applications. Due to the high purity, our liquified Phenol is a USP Grade chemical.
