Organic Certification
The National Organic Program (NOP) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture sets the standards and regulations for the certification and labeling of agricultural products as "100% Organic," "Organic," or "Made with Organic (specified ingredients)" by a USDA-accredited certifying agency.
The demand for organic certified products has grown steadily as consumers become more aware of the benefits, including energy conservation, improved water quality, support for local economies, and growth in both domestic and international markets.
Lab Alley is a proud supplier of organic certified raw materials and is audited annually by Oregon Tilth, a USDA-accredited certifying agency dedicated to protecting the environment and providing access to organic food and products.
Kosher Certification
Kosher requires a thorough evaluation of food ingredients, production, and preparation processes must be conducted to ensure compliance with the dietary laws of the Jewish religion. The term "Kosher" is derived from the Hebrew word meaning "fit," "proper," or "correct," and foods bearing the Kosher label are typically classified into three main categories: Meat, Dairy, and Pareve.
A rabbinic agency must approve the certification, verifying that no non-kosher substances are present. Lab Alley has received Kosher Certification under the supervision of the OV Kosher by the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis.
Halal Certification
The Halal certification for food and chemicals means ingredients and production comply with Islamic law as laid out in the Quran and other Muslim texts. Halal grade chemicals are free of forbidden animal products, alcohol, as well as some additional ingredients as specified in the Quran.
All equipment must be dedicated for Halal manufacturing, and there must be no cross-contamination with anything non-Halal. The basis for Halal is to ensure all products are healthy and hygienic.
Due to growing concerns over food safety, the demand for Halal products is growing even among the non-Muslim community. Halal foods are often preferred for additional safety and quality control. Lab Alley is pleased to offer you our line of high-quality Halal chemicals you can trust.
