1. Shipping Policy

Lead Time

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days. Transit time varies by carrier and destination. Delays may occur due to holidays, weather conditions, or unforeseen events. You will receive tracking information via email once your order has shipped.

Note: Products with SKUs beginning with “C” followed by a number might be subject to longer lead times. Contact customer care for more information.

Delivery Coverage

  • Contiguous U.S. (48 States): Standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

  • Non-Contiguous U.S. (AK, HI, PR, U.S. Territories): Contact Customer Care for a custom shipping quote at 512-668-9918.

  • Regulatory Restrictions: Some chemical products may be restricted from shipping to certain regions due to federal and international transportation regulations. 

Delivery Restrictions

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, apartment complexes, or multi-family residential addresses.

For products classified as restricted chemicals, a verified commercial or single-family residential address is required for delivery. This requirement will be clearly indicated at the time of checkout.

Hazmat & Poison Pack Fees

Chemicals classified as Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) or requiring Poison Pack handling may be subject to additional fees, as required by federal transportation regulations.
Any applicable charges will be clearly displayed at checkout when relevant.

2. Reshipment Policy

Our Commitment to Accurate and Safe Delivery

We are dedicated to ensuring every order is delivered safely and accurately. If an issue arises:

  • Damaged Items: Must be reported within 10 business days of delivery. A replacement will be sent.

  • Incorrect Items: Report within 10 business days with photos and a copy of the packing slip. The correct item will be reshipped.

  • Lost Shipments: If your order has not arrived, please contact us. We will initiate a carrier investigation and, if item must be reshipped more than twice due to a lost
    package, you will be required to provide an alternative, more reliable shipping address. Please note: Shipping fees are non-refundable if you choose to cancel or request a refund.

  • Customer Errors: If incorrect shipping information or order details are provided, the customer may be responsible for reshipment charges.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure safe and successful delivery.

3. Return Policy

Due to chemical handling regulations, all returns are subject to strict guidelines.

Return Authorization

All returns require prior approval and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), valid for 5 days from the date of issue.

Eligible Returns

Products may be returned if they meet all the following criteria:

  • Unopened and unused

  • Non-temperature-sensitive

  • In resalable condition, with original packaging and labeling

  • Return request submitted within 30 days of receipt

Ineligible Returns

  • Opened or used chemical containers

  • Custom, made-to-order, or special-order items

  • Items with broken tamper seals

  • Expired, discontinued, or clearance products

  • For safety and compliance reasons, products that require special handling - such as those shipped with Poison Pack labeling or designated as hazardous materials - are not eligible for return.

  • Items not purchased directly from Lab Alley. If you obtained our product through a distributor, reseller or third party marketplace, please contact them directly for assistance with your order.

  • Any product with a SKU beginning with "C" followed by a number (e.g., C1050, C2087)

  • Natural - FCC/Food,USP,NF

  • High Purity - ACS, Reagent/Analytical, HPLC, LC/MS,Electronic/Semiconductor, High Purity, Molecular Biology, Histology

Decontamination Requirement - Lab Supplies

Used labware or equipment must be returned with a signed Decontamination Certificate confirming it is free of biohazards, chemicals, and radioactive materials.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to an error by Lab Alley. All returned items must be securely packaged and comply with applicable chemical transport regulations.

4. Refund Policy

Customer-Initiated Returns or Rejected Shipments

  • Subject to a 20% restocking fee

  • Original and return shipping fees are non-refundable


Defective or Out-of-Specification (OOS) Products

Notify us within 30 days of delivery and provide:

  • A written explanation

  • Supporting documentation (e.g., photos, lot numbers, third-party test results)

After internal review, we may:

  • Offer a replacement (if available)

  • Request return of the product for evaluation

  • Issue a full or partial refund if a replacement is not available

Unauthorized Returns

Returns without authorization or that do not meet return criteria will not be refunded.

Undeliverable Orders (Returned to Sender)

If an order is returned as undeliverable:

  • Outbound and return shipping fees will be deducted

  • A 20% restocking fee will apply

Credit & Refund Processing

If your order qualifies for a refund, we will first offer a store credit for use on future purchases. If you prefer a credit, your Lab Alley representative will assist you in applying it to your account.

If store credit is declined, a refund to the original payment method will be processed within 7–10 business days following inspection and approval of the returned item(s).
