CoreChemicals for Water, Wastewater & Environmental Treatment
Coagulants, neutralizers, oxidizers, activated carbon and ACS reagents for municipal and industrial wastewater, site remediation and environmental testing labs — with SDS and COA online and sizes from a pint to a 275-gallon tote.
What you need at each step
From the headworks to the testing lab, pick chemicals by the job they do in your treatment train. Each one links to its product page with grades, sizes and documents.
- 01
Neutralization & pH
Caustic and acid bring influent and effluent into your permitted pH range.
- 02
Coagulation & settling
Aluminum and iron salts clump suspended solids and help remove phosphorus.
- 03
Disinfection & oxidation
Oxidizers disinfect effluent and treat iron, manganese, sulfide and odor.
- 04
Dechlorination
Reducing agents remove residual chlorine before water is discharged or reused.
- 05
Remediation & adsorption
Carbon adsorbs organics; peroxide oxidizes contaminants in soil and groundwater.
- 06
Lab testing
Digest, preserve and analyze samples for metals, COD and hardness.

SupportingWhich grade fits treatment vs. testing?
Treatment dosing and lab analysis need different purity. Use Lab/Technical grades for bulk process work and save ACS and Reagent grades for the methods your lab runs.
See our certifications →| Grade | What it means | For nutrient blending | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lab/Technical | Consistent purity for general and industrial use | Yes | Neutralization, coagulation, disinfection |
| Food Grade | Supplied for food use to a published specification | Yes — check COA | Carbon, peroxide, sensitive uses |
| Reagent | Purity for analytical and lab methods | Works, costs more | Titrants, standard solutions |
| ACS | Meets American Chemical Society reagent specifications | Not needed | Sample digestion, method testing |
| HPLC | High purity with low residue for chromatography | No | Organics analysis, extractions |
What treatment operators check before they buy
- Concentration
- Solution strength sets your feed rate — confirm it so dosing calculations stay accurate.
- Impurities & metals
- Trace metals in treatment chemicals can show up in effluent and sludge results.
- Physical form
- Granular, powder or liquid affects feed equipment, dust handling and dissolving time.
- Stability & shelf life
- Hypochlorite and peroxide lose strength over time — order to match your usage rate.
- Hazmat shipping
- Corrosives and oxidizers ship with carrier limits; plan lead time for drums and totes.
Documents for permits and audits
Discharge limits, drinking water additive approvals such as NSF/ANSI 60, and waste disposal rules vary by permit and state; confirm requirements with your environmental compliance team.
From jar test to full plant
Run jar tests on a pint, then move to drums and totes for daily dosing. Same grade and documentation at every size.
Environmental & Waste Treatment buyer questions
Should I use aluminum sulfate or ferric chloride as a coagulant?
Both coagulate suspended solids and help remove phosphorus. Iron salts generally work over a wider pH range, while aluminum sulfate is common in lower-alkalinity water. Jar testing on your own water is the reliable way to choose.
What chemicals remove chlorine before discharge?
Sodium metabisulfite and sodium thiosulfate are commonly used to dechlorinate treated effluent. Dose to your measured chlorine residual and permit limits.
Do you carry reagents for environmental testing labs?
Yes. We stock ACS and Reagent grade acids, titrants, indicators and solvents for sample digestion, preservation and analysis, each with a lot COA.
Can I get an SDS and COA for each product?
Yes. The SDS and a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis are available online for every product.
Do you ship treatment chemicals to residential addresses?
Some chemicals ship only to commercial addresses. Check the product page, or call customer care to confirm before ordering.
Do you offer bulk pricing for plants and remediation sites?
Yes. Request a quote for drums, totes or recurring volumes, or call 512-668-9918. Municipal buyers can use purchase orders and net terms.
