Due to its low pH, it has strong acidic and corrosive nature. That is why it requires safe handling and should be kept away from incompatible materials such as water, organic materials, metals, amines, bases, and excess heat. Moreover, it is hygroscopic in nature and readily absorbs moisture from the air. At higher concentrations ≥90%, it acts as an oxidizing and dehydrating agent. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity. Our lab-grade Sulfuric Acid is recommended for educational institutes and research labs. It is not suitable for food and medicinal applications due to the presence of impurities.

Sulfuric acid is a very important commodity chemical, and indeed, a nation's sulfuric acid production is a good indicator of its industrial strength.
