Description

Potassium Bicarbonate, also known as Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate, Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate, Potassium Acid Carbonate, and Monopotassium Salt of Carbonic Acid, has the chemical formula KHCO₃. It appears as white crystals, granules, or powder, is slightly alkaline and saltish, and is freely soluble in Water at ambient conditions. It is produced by the passage of Carbon Dioxide through an aqueous Potassium Carbonate solution. A USP Grade chemical is the one that conforms to the criteria of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
