Ferric Ammonium Citrate Brown, also known as Ammonium Ferric Citrate or Ammonium Iron (lll) Citrate (Brown), has the chemical formula (NH4)5[Fe(C6H4O7)2]. It appears as red to brown granules or powder, is deliquescent, possesses faint ammonia odor, and readily soluble in water at ambient conditions. It can undergo thermal decomposition to produce acrid smoke and irritating fumes. Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfil the ACS, the USP, or the FCC grade requirements.
