Aluminum Trihydrate sometimes called Hydrate Alumina, Alumina Hydrate, ATH, Aluminum Hydrate, alane, or alumane is a chemical compound having the formula AlH 3 . The surface of the AlH 3 may be coated with a thin layer of Aluminum Oxide and/or Hydroxide, depending on the synthesis scheme. In organic synthesis, this product is employed as a reducing agent. Although Aluminum Trihydrate has poor solubility in water, it is amphoteric, meaning it will dissolve in both acids and strong alkalis. It is most commonly used in the manufacture of Aluminum metal. Lab Grade chemicals are often known as Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents. Despite acceptable purity, they do not fulfill any recognized quality or purity criteria like the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade chemicals. Lab Alley is selling its high-quality Aluminum Trihydrate, Lab Grade online at laballey.com in a convenient packing of 500 Grams in the United States of America (USA).
