Hydrogen peroxide, H2O2, is a clear, colorless liquid, molecular weight 34.01. It is almost always sold as a water solution rather than pure, since concentrated H2O2 on its own is genuinely unstable. Left alone, it breaks down into water and oxygen, and heat, light, or trace metal contamination speed that up considerably. That is why higher concentrations need cool, dark storage, and why some grades carry stabilizers to slow the decomposition. It is a strong oxidizer, classified DOT Class 5.1, and anything above 20% ships under tighter rules than the lower strengths.
COMMON APPLICATIONS
Disinfectant, antiseptic, bleaching agent, laboratory and industrial reagent, electronics oxidizer, food contact sanitizer: hydrogen peroxide shows up in all of these, just at different strengths and grades.
GRADES EXPLAINED
Lab Grade is reasonably pure but skips ACS, USP, and FCC compliance entirely, fine for research, education, and general cleaning, not for anything food or drug related. Food Grade meets Food Chemical Codex standards, has no stabilizers added, and carries Kosher and Halal certification, the grade behind food processing, agriculture, and personal care work. ACS Grade hits American Chemical Society reagent specs for procedures that name it specifically. Semiconductor/Electronic Grade is built for wafer cleaning, photoresist removal, and copper etching on circuit boards, anywhere trace metal content has to stay near zero.
TYPES & GRADES AT A GLANCE
WHY BUY FROM LAB ALLEY
256,000+ customers already order their chemicals from Lab Alley.
Most orders, 99.5 percent, ship within 1 to 2 business days. A hydrogen peroxide order should not be what holds up your production or research.
Inventory accuracy sits at 98.9 percent, so what shows in stock is what ships.
Every grade comes with SDS and COA online, and Food Grade carries Kosher and Halal certification.
