Description

Chromium Trioxide is also known as Chromic Acid and Chromic Anhydride. It appears as Reddish-violet deliquescent crystals, flakes, or granules at room temperature. It is odorless and soluble in water at ambient conditions. It can undergo thermal decomposition to produce highly toxic Chromium fumes and Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) gas. This substance is a known human carcinogen and is associated with an increased risk of developing lung cancer and cancer of the sinonasal cavity.
