Lab Alley’s Cobalt Nitrate Crystal, also known as Cobalt(II) Nitrate Hexahydrate and Cobalt Dinitrate Hexahydrate, has the chemical formula Co(NO3)2-6H2O or CoH12N2O12. It appears as red hygroscopic crystals at room temperature, is odorless and readily soluble in water at ambient conditions. It is a strong oxidizer and can undergo thermal decomposition upon contact with combustible/organic material to produce toxic Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Cobalt Oxides.
Chemicals in the Reagent Grade category have high purity and are best suited for analytical purposes. They're useful in research investigations as they produce consistent, trustworthy, and repeatable findings.
