About Cobalt Nitrate Crystal Reagent Grade

Lab Alley’s Cobalt Nitrate Crystal, also known as Cobalt(II) Nitrate Hexahydrate and Cobalt Dinitrate Hexahydrate, has the chemical formula Co(NO₃)₂-6H₂O or CoH₁₂N₂O₁₂. It appears as red hygroscopic crystals at room temperature, is odorless and readily soluble in water at ambient conditions. It is a strong oxidizer and can undergo thermal decomposition upon contact with combustible/organic material to produce toxic Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Cobalt Oxides.
