Ferric Subsulfate, also known as Basic ferric sulfate, Iron hydroxide sulfate, Iron Dihydroxide Pentakis (sulfate), has the chemical formula Fe4H2O22S5 or Fe4(OH)2(SO4)5. It appears as a light-sensitive yellowish-brown rhombic crystalline solid with no odor. It is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. Purified Grade, also known as Pure or Practical Grade, refers to those high-purity compounds that do not fulfill the ACS, the USP, or the FCC grade requirements.
