About Magnesium Metal Turnings Grignard, Reagent Grade

Magnesium metal is light silvery in appearance and found in abundance in mineral salts, namely Dolomite and Magnesium Carbonate. It poses no odor and produces Hydrogen Gas through a vigorous reaction upon contact with Water. It slowly oxidizes in moist air and can be easily ignited in ribbon or finely divided form giving an intense white flame. It can be produced on a commercial scale by electrolytic reduction of magnesium chloride or thermal reduction of magnesium oxide. Magnesium Metal Turnings are also sold as Magnesium ribbon or Magnesium sticks. Chemicals in the Reagent Grade category have high purity and are best suited for analytical purposes. They're useful in research investigations as they produce consistent, trustworthy, and repeatable findings. In the United States of America (USA), Lab Alley is selling its high-quality Magnesium Metal Turnings Grignard, Reagent Grade online at laballey.com.
