Sodium Citrate Dihydrate, also known as Citrosodine, Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate, Sodium Citrate Tribasic Dihydrate, Citric Acid Trisodium Salt Dihydrate, and Sodium Citrate Tribasic Dihydrate, has the chemical formula C6H9Na3O9 or C6H5Na3O7-2H2O. It is dihydrate of sodium citrate and appears as colorless or white crystals or crystalline powder. It is soluble in Water and insoluble in Alcohol at ambient conditions. Sodium Citrate is commonly available as three different salts of Sodium namely Monosodium Citrate, Disodium Citrate, and Trisodium Citrate. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity like the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, or the FCC Grade. The Lab Grade is also known as Laboratory Reagent (LR) and Chemically Pure (CP). Lab Alley’s Sodium Citrate Dihydrate, Lab Grade is available for sale online at laballey.com. It is highly recommended for educational institutes and research labs.
