Sulfuric Acid, also known as Mattling Acid, is a mineral acid that is recognized as Oil of Vitriol. It is highly acidic and corrosive due to its low pH. It must be handled carefully and kept away from incompatible materials such as water, organic compounds, metals, amines, bases, and high temperatures. Solvents used for electronics production are known as Electronic Grade solvents. Heavy metal concentrations in these solvents are extremely low, measured in parts per billion or parts per trillion. These solvents are often used as cleansers and etchants in semiconductor and microprocessor manufacturing. Sulfuric Acid Electronic/Cleanroom Grade, 96% from Lab Alley is appropriate for use in electronics and related applications.
