25% to 32% hydrogen peroxide is a concentrated aqueous solution of H2O2. It reacts faster, decomposes more readily, and needs more careful handling and storage than the lower ranges. This is generally the concentration where cool, dark storage becomes important rather than just good practice. None of the products in this range are stabilized, so they should be handled and stored according to the safety guidance on each product's SDS.
COMMON APPLICATIONS
This range is used as a laboratory reagent for experiments and apoptosis induction studies, a cleaning solvent for electronic components and silicon wafers, an etchant for copper on circuit boards, an oxidizer in industrial processing, and a food contact sanitizer in food processing and agriculture.
GRADES EXPLAINED
Lab Grade has reasonable purity but is not tested against ACS, USP, or FCC standards, so it fits general lab and industrial use rather than food or certified analytical work. Food Grade meets Food Chemical Codex standards and carries Kosher and Halal certification, the version used in food processing and agriculture. ACS Grade, available at 30 percent, meets American Chemical Society reagent specifications for laboratory experiments that call for that standard by name. Semiconductor/Electronic Grade, also at 30 percent, is formulated for cleaning silicon wafers, removing photoresists, and etching copper on circuit boards, where trace metal content has to stay extremely low.

What's the difference between 25, 30, and 32 percent?
Each step up increases oxidizing strength. 25 percent is the entry point into this range. 30 percent is the most common strength here and the only one available in ACS and Semiconductor/Electronic Grade. 32 percent is the strongest Lab and Food Grade option before the 34% Food Grade product.
Do I need a permit to buy this?
No. None of the concentrations in this range require a TTB permit or similar authorization. That said, this range does need more careful shipping and storage handling than lower concentrations, since it ships as a DOT Class 5.1 hazardous material at a higher packing group than the 3% to 15% ranges.
Which products in this range are Kosher or Halal certified?
Our Food Grade products at 25%, 30%, and 32% are all Kosher and Halal certified. Lab Grade, ACS Grade, and Semiconductor/Electronic Grade do not currently carry either certification.
Which grade should I use for electronics cleaning versus a lab experiment?
For cleaning silicon wafers, removing photoresists, or etching circuit boards, our Semiconductor/Electronic Grade 30% is formulated for that low metal content requirement. For general laboratory experiments and reagent use, ACS Grade if your procedure specifically calls for it, otherwise Lab Grade is the more economical choice.
How does this range compare to 10% to 15% for lab and industrial use?
25 to 32 percent gives you significantly more oxidizing power per volume, useful when a process specifically calls for a higher concentration, but it also demands more careful storage and handling. If 10% to 15% gets the job done, there is no need to step up, since the higher range costs more to ship and store safely.
Can I buy this in drums or totes?
All eight products in this range ship up to a 55 gallon drum. Larger tote sizes are not currently listed for this concentration range, so contact Bulk & Custom Chemicals to confirm availability if you need something beyond a drum.
