It is formed by dissolving Hydrogen Chloride gas in Water and appears as a colorless to yellowish watery liquid with a sharp, irritating odor. It is soluble in Water and Ethanol at ambient conditions. It worked.
I'm a watchmaker. A client came in with a fancy sterling silver pocket watch. The stem had broken right at the base of the crown, so it was impossible to remove via mechanical means. Fortunately, the crown was sterling silver, and the stem was made of steel. The client now has his pocket watch back, with a new stem and the original crown.
