Potassium Nitrate is a crystalline solid that varies in color from white to filthy grey. It is soluble in water at room temperature. Although it is noncombustible, yet it catalyzes the combustibility of other materials. Moreover, if Potassium Nitrate is exposed to heat or fire for an extended period of time, it can lead to an explosion. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity. Our Lab Grade Potassium Nitrate is reasonably pure in terms of heavy metal impurities. Lab Alley highly recommends using its Potassium Nitrate Granular in educational institutes for research purposes.
