About Cobalt Metal Powder

Lab Alley’s Cobalt Metal Powder appears as silver-gray to black hard magnetic particles. It is odorless and insoluble in water, but readily soluble in dilute acids such as nitric acid, at ambient conditions. It is highly flammable and can form hazardous decomposition products (such as oxides of cobalt) when exposed to fire. The production of Cobalt is associated with refining of copper or nickel ores. The mined ores often contain only 0.1% elemental cobalt and nearly 44% of its world production is from nickel ores. It is extracted from the ores by both flotation and gravity methods. Normally, roasting or acid leaching is often needed to produce good concentration of metallic cobalt. Moreover, pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, and electrolyte processes are used as standalone or in combination to produce concentrated products. Lab Alley’s Cobalt Metal Powder is ideal for educational/training institutes, laboratory use, and commercial applications. Lab Alley is selling its premium quality Cobalt Metal Powder online at laballey.com in the United States of America (USA).
