About Cupric Nitrate Trihydrate Crystal, Lab Grade

Cupric Nitrate Trihydrate, also known as Copper Dinitrate Trihydrate and Copper(2+) Nitrate Trihydrate, has the chemical formula Cu(NO3)2-3H2O or CuH6N2O9. It appears as a dark blue hygroscopic crystalline powder with no odor. It is soluble in Water and Alcohol at ambient conditions. When heated to decomposition, it emits toxic fumes of Nitrogen Oxides and Copper Oxides. It is often produced by treating Copper or Copper Oxide with Nitric Acid followed by evaporation and crystallization. Chemically pure or Laboratory reagents are the two terms often used to describe Lab Grade chemicals. Lab Grade chemicals do not meet any accepted quality or purity requirements such as the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, and the FCC Grade, despite their acceptable purity. In the United States of America (USA), Lab Alley is selling its high- quality Cupric Nitrate Trihydrate, Lab Grade, online at laballey.com. Due to its high purity, Cupric Nitrate Trihydrate, Lab Grade is highly recommended for labs and commercial applications.
