About Acetic Anhydride, ACS Grade
Acetic Anhydride ACS Grade is a clear, colorless liquid like with a strong, vinegar-like odor. It is commonly used in the production of cellulose acetate fibers and plastics. In chemical synthesis it is widely used as an acetylating agent, and for making aspirin. It is used in the food & beverage industry as a dehydrating agent. It is widely used as a general solvent.
ACS Grade chemicals meet or exceed purity standards set by the American Chemical Society (ACS) of at least 95% purity. They can be used in food, drug, and medicinal environments.
