About Chromium Nitrate, Lab Grade

Lab Alley’s Chromium Nitrate, also known as Chromium(III) Nitrate Nonahydrate, has the chemical formula CrH₁₈N₃O₁₈ or Cr(NO₃)₃-9H₂O and appears as black or deep violet crystals at room temperature. It is odorless and readily soluble in water, alcohol at ambient conditions. It is not combustible but enhances combustion of other substances and can undergo thermal(~100^oC) decomposition to produce toxic gases such as Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), and Nitrogen Oxides (NO_x). Laboratory grade is also known as the Chemically Pure (CP) and Laboratory Reagent (LR).
