About Formaldehyde 37% Lab Grade
Formaldehyde 37% is a solution of formaldehyde gas dissolved in water, commonly known as formalin. It's a clear, colorless liquid with a pungent odor. This solution is used in various industrial applications, including as a disinfectant, preservative, and in the production of various chemicals and materials such as plastics, textiles, and adhesives. In laboratory settings, formaldehyde solutions are also used as a fixative for preserving biological specimens.
Our Formaldehyde is stabilized with methanol and is certified as a lab-grade chemical due to the presence of unknown impurities. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity. Our Formaldehyde, Lab Grade (37%) is suitable for educational research and training purposes.
