Mercuric Nitrate, also known as Mercuric Nitrate Monohydrate and Mercury (II) Nitrate Hydrate has the chemical formula H₂HgN₂O₇. It appears as colorless to white crystalline granules with a slight Nitric Acid odor. It is hygroscopic and is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. Lab Alley’s Mercuric Nitrate contains 0.25% Mercuric Nitrate, Dihydrate, 0.1% Nitric Acid (70% weight/volume solution), and 99.65% of Water and appears as a colorless, odorless liquid.
