Phosphoric acid, also known as orthophosphoric acid, is a weak triprotic acid. At 40%, it is a colorless and odorless viscous liquid. It is miscible with sulfuric acid, another colorless/odorless viscous liquid. Unlike phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid is a strong acid and is added at lower concentration.
