  • I'm looking for Sodium Hypochlorite that is acceptable for use in a potable water system for our chlorination system. Previously bleach was used from a grocery store, now the brands available are all tailored to household cleaning and have "additives" which are not spelled out so not something to put in for water treatment. Your product is just water and bleach?

Yes, this product is just water and sodium hypochlorite (bleach). The concentration of sodium hypochlorite is 12.5% and rest is water.
    Thank you.

  • What is the required contact time for Sodium Hypochlorite? What is concentration should this solution be when used on food contact surfaces?

For non-porous food contact surfaces, 200 ppm is suitable for bacteria, fungi and mold and 600 ppm is suitbale for bacteriophage.
The contact time is 2 hours. After treatment, completely rinse the treated surface with potable water.

    Thank you.

  • Can you use this product to treat unwanted, bacteria in soil

Sodium Hypochlorite is effective for disinfecting surfaces, tools, sanitizing pool water and in waste water treatment. There is no doubt it disinfects bacteria but as the soil is very porous large quantity will be absorbed and it may also harm the plants growing on the soil. There is no evidence of this product being used in soil disinfection.
