About Ferrous Gluconate USP Grade

Ferrous Gluconate Dihydrate, also known as Iron(II) D-Gluconate Dihydrate and Iron(II) Gluconate Dihydrate, has the chemical formula C₁₂H₂₂FeO₁₄-2H₂O or C₁₂H₂₆FeO₁₆. It appears as a pale greenish-yellow to yellowish-grey powder or granules having a faint odor of burnt sugar. It is affected by light and ferrous ion slowly oxidizes on exposure to air.
