Magnesium Oxide, also known as Magnesia, Oxomagnesium, Periclase, Magnesium Oxide, and Seawater Magnesia, appears as a white hygroscopic powder and is insoluble in Water at ambient conditions. As compared to the Heavy form, Magnesium Oxide Light is less dense having more porosity and water contents. It constitutes a minimal magnesium oxide content of 96%. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity like the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, or the FCC Grade. The Lab Grade is also known as Laboratory Reagent (LR) and Chemically Pure (CP). Lab Alley’s Magnesium Oxide Light, Lab Grade is recommended for educational institutes, research labs, and commercial applications.
