About Magnesium Sulfate Powder Anhydrous, ACS Grade
Magnesium Sulfate Anhydrous is also known as Magnesium Sulfate Anhydrous, Sulfuric Acid Magnesium Salt (1:1), and Epsom Salt. It appears as white, odorless hygroscopic crystals with saline, bitter taste and is soluble in water, alcohol at ambient conditions. The anhydrous form of Magnesium Sulfate is usually extracted from its mineral Kieserite (Magnesium Sulfate Monohydrate) or Epsomite (Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate) followed by dehydration. It can also be prepared by heating its heptahydrate until approximately 25% or more of its weight is lost. An ACS Grade reagent is a chemical that meets the purity requirements of the American Chemical Society (ACS). It is generally equivalent to the Analytical Reagent Grade. For dependable, consistent, and repeatable findings, the ACS Grade reagents can be utilized in high-quality research labs.
