Description

Oil, Countertop is also known as Mineral Oil, Nujol, and Paraffin Oil. It has the general chemical formula C15H11ClO7. It appears as a tasteless, clear, colorless to white viscous oil without fluorescence in daylight. It is odorless at lower temperatures and gives a faint odor of petroleum when heated to high temperatures.It is insoluble in Water and soluble in Ether at ambient conditions. The ACS/USP Grade is generally equivalent to the reagent grade, conforms to the criteria of United States Pharmacopeia (USP), and is acceptable for use in analytical applications and research laboratories.
