Description

Ferric Nitrate, also known as Ferric Nitrate Hydrate and Iron(III) Nitrate Nonahydrate, usually appears in its nonahydrate form having the chemical formula Fe(NO3)-9H2O or FeH18N3O18. It appears as Off-white to violet odorless hygroscopic crystals and is soluble in Water, Alcohol, Acetone at ambient conditions. When heated to decomposition, it emits corrosive and/or toxic fumes of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx). An ACS Grade reagent is a chemical that meets the purity requirements of the American Chemical Society.
